NeighborWorks Community Building and Organizing Initiaitive

Community building and organizing are processes that bring the talents, resources and skills of people in a community together to increase their collective power to transform themselves and their community and work for social change. They result in improved lives and greater equity, and produce new or strengthened institutions, organizations, relationships, and new standards and expectations for life in community.

More than 50 NeighborWorks organizations offer programs and activities to empower residents to become leaders in strengthening their communities.  Check to see if there is a NeighborWorks Community Building and Organizing Initiative member organization near you.
